Nemr is a Stand Up Comedian who is credited with establishing the stand up comedy scene throughout the Middle East. He grew up in San Diego, and is now a accomplished comic with six full-feature specials, a prime-time television show, movie release, and feature on the cover of Rolling Stone. He currently holds the record for the biggest show in every major county in the Middle East. He aims to do here what he does everywhere - bring people together through laughter.

Mark Kabban is the founder and executive director of YALLA. In 2011, Mark was honored by takepart.com in their Top Ten Unsung Heroes, and was recognized by CNN Heroes in 2012. Mark has spoken at TEDx twice, been featured on BBC, UNHCR, NPR, Disney, and was also the youngest commencement speaker at Baker University. In 2015, he opened a facility in El Cajon to establish a college hub for YALLA youth using cutting-edge technology and an adaptive curriculum. 

Mr. Mohammed was born in Mosel, Iraq. After fleeing war, his family were one of the lucky few to be resettled by the UN in the US. Mohammed started high school in El Cajon as a sophomore speaking no english and quickly joined YALLA's College Bound program. Two years later, he has a 3.6 GPA, speaks four languages, and is captain of the varsity cross country, soccer and track teams. His favorite class is AP German and his current goal is to attend USD or UCSD to become a pediatrician.

Ms. Sandy was born in Baghdad, Iraq - fled to Lebanon as a refugee and in 2009 was luckily resettled in the US. She is a precocious 12 yr old, who loves technology and likes to create secret handshakes with her coaches. She has been in YALLA's academy program for two years and currently has straight A's! Sandy is also reading at a 9th grade level, in the 6th grade! She is very intuitive which makes her equally confident on the field and in the classroom. Sandy dreams to become an innovator who uses technology to make cars safer and avoid accidents.
